Effective date: 17 October 2026
This notice explains how personal information is handled through the Y-DIGIWISE project website. It covers website enquiries and newsletter subscriptions. Participation in project activities may involve a separate information notice.
Who is responsible for this website?
The website is managed by Asociación EuropeYou, the Spanish partner responsible for project website and dissemination work. Project and privacy enquiries are handled through the coordinator, Youth Dynamics: youthdynamicscy@gmail.com. Registered address: Calle Loma del Colegial 20, 7C, 29620 Torremolinos, Spain. Registration number: G93567261.
Y-DIGIWISE is coordinated by Youth Dynamics, Cyprus. When an enquiry needs another partner’s response, only the information necessary for that response is shared with the relevant partner. Contact information for the consortium is available on the partners page.
What information is used, and why?
| Purpose | Information | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Answering enquiries | Your name, email address, message and any information you choose to include. | Our legitimate interest in communicating about the project and responding to enquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). |
| Newsletter subscriptions | Email address, any optional profile details, subscription status and records needed to evidence consent. | Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time. |
| Operating and protecting the website | Technical data such as IP address, requested pages, access time and security events processed by hosting and security services. | Our legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure website (Article 6(1)(f)). |
| Responding to legal obligations or rights requests | Information necessary to verify and handle the request or obligation. | Compliance with a legal obligation where applicable (Article 6(1)(c)). |
Contact forms and newsletter choices
Contact messages are delivered through the website’s WordPress contact-form system to Youth Dynamics, the project coordinator. Providing an email address is necessary for a reply. Newsletter signups use a separate process with email confirmation; a project enquiry does not add you to a mailing list.
Newsletter emails contain an unsubscribe option. You can also request removal by contacting youthdynamicscy@gmail.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Who receives the information?
Access is limited to authorised project staff and service providers needed to run the website and email services. The website uses WordPress, SiteGround hosting and installed form and newsletter software. Contact messages are processed in the receiving email service; newsletter records are managed through WordPress. We do not sell personal information.
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the applicable transfer mechanism must provide the protection required by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. You can contact the website team for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your data.
How long is information kept?
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and manage related follow-up. Newsletter data is used while the subscription remains active; limited suppression and consent records may be retained to respect an unsubscribe request and demonstrate compliance. Records required for project reporting, legal obligations or disputes are retained for the applicable period. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised. You may request the retention details applicable to your data.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for processing based on consent.
Send requests to youthdynamicscy@gmail.com. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. Requests are normally answered within one month; where an extension is legally permitted, you will be informed.
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, including the authority in your country of residence, work or where you believe an infringement occurred. In Spain, this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
Young people and sensitive information
Please do not use the general enquiry form to send medical information, details about safeguarding incidents or sensitive personal information about yourself or others. Where project activities involve children, partners must provide age-appropriate notices and apply the relevant consent and safeguarding requirements.
